All The Fun Of The Fair

Over the Easter holidays we took advantage of the little week long heat wave and jumped on the train up the coast to the seaside town of Barmouth. Barmouth is a Welsh seaside town. Out of season there is not very much apart from a cataloge shop, a chip shop, Iceland and rows of closed shops that sell buckets and spade.

However from Easter to October the town comes alive with said bucket and spade shops, ice creams and amusements.

If you take a walk down to the beach you might even find some donkeys ready to give rides to little ones along the expanse of golden sand.

It looks lovely and I love donkeys on the beach! I was so pleased when my younger son went on one last year and didn’t seem to mind that he was twice as big and old as everyone else. My daughter refused – she didn’t even want them looking at her!

I was so sad when my pair were too big for donkey rides. Visiting the beach is so much more fun when a donkey ride is involved.
