Behind That Smile That smile.

It’s a typical tween smile.

Behind that smile…. is a girl who turned 12 this week.

Behind that smile is my girl. A bright and happy girl that takes most things in her stride.

Behind that smile is a funny helpful caring girl.

Behind that smile is a girl with guts and determination.

Behind that smile is a brave and humble girl.

Behind that smile is a cheeky little madam who constantly likes to push her luck.

Behind that smile is a girl who is growing up too fast.

Behind that smile is a girl who loves clothes and make up.

Behind that smile is a talented creative artist.

Behind that smile is a wonderful cook who loves to bake.

Behind that smile is a girl who supports and treasures her friends.

Behind that smile is a caring girl who adores her pets.

Behind that smile is a girl who (secretly) idolises her big brother.

You wouldn’t guess that behind that smile there was anything wrong.

But behind that smile lies a poorly girl.

Behind that smile is a girl who has battled with health issues from the day she was born.

Behind that smile is a girl who has put up with so much heartache and pain at school this academic year but despite it all has kept smiling.

Behind that smile is a girl struggling with 3 chronic illnesses that will impact upon her whole life. This week the girl behind that smile added a 4th chronic illness to the list. Yet the girl behind that smile keeps smiling.

My girl, my precious baby girl always shining brightly from behind that smile.

There is a lot that can be learned from the girl behind that smile.

    Such a beautiful post. Its so true that sometimes we see people or photos of people and we don’t really know what is going on inside. So sad that she is suffering but its lovely that even though she is she is still smiling x #ToddlersAndTeens
