A Girl And Her Cats

The Girl is 12 now and I am so proud as to how caring towards others and her pets she is. Of course there are plenty of other things I am proud of her for doing.

She loves her cats. We have four of the little beauties right now. And she loves the 15 year old older pair just as much as the two sprightly younger 3 year old ones. She especially has a close bond with Marvin who she sleeps with most nights. They happily both share the pillow to gather.

She also loves the little oneof the bunch, Millie.  Millie is Marvin’s sister and she is very small compared to the others. This doesn’t stop Millie being in charge and will happily swipe any of the others around the head if she thinks they have come too close.

Having gone through lots of medical issues lately The Giitl has taken solice in the cats even more. To the end there is one literally under her had (Marvin who you can see) and bubbles sleeps under her arm pit. That is how she slept all night long one night last week.

There really is no separating them.

I was so worried how things would be when we had the two younger cats as I wanted them all to get along and they have. We have been very lucky apart from the mouse issue which touch wood we have solved.

Do your children have pets that are such an important part of their lives?

We have 4 cats all with very different characteristics but as all love all of them equally. We would all miss them terribly if they were not here anf they help teach the boys the importance of caring for animals #AnimalTales

I think pets are such an important part of a child’s development. Grace still misses our cat Muse, almost a year on from when she died and she still talks about her and even gets upset sometimes. She loves our other one too but Gypsy is not a ‘sit on your lap’ type! It is lovely to see the relationship that your daughter so obviously has with your cats. Thank you for linking to #PoCoLo x

They sound like such good friends with their strong bond. I never had a pet like that growing up besides a fish and a budgie and they’re not really pets you bond with I guess!
