South Stack Lighthouse

Last weekend The Girl had her art club meeting just outside Bangor  This is a good 2 to 2 1/2 hour journey so it is not practical for us to take her then go home  we decided to head to Anglesey.  Driving all the way to Holyhead and then through to the coast down country lanes until we reached this sign.

IMG_8064.JPGSouth Stack Lighthouse.  It was a glorious sunny day.  Hard to believe it would be December in 2 days time.  No wind to be felt, just the warm autumn sun.

Beautiful views for miles.  Just love how dramatic these rocks are.

What a great place to be able to get out and explore whilst your girl was at her art club. I love going for walks along the cliff path, especially at this time of year, I always think that the sea looks so dramatic against the rocks with empty beaches below you. Thanks for linking up with Country Kids.

It was such a fantastic place to visit and I’m glad we went this time of the year and the views were fantastic and we were literally the only ones there. It would have been so different in the summer months with tourists and walkers galore.

It’s what we all enjoy as family. Getting out in the fresh air and exploring what our lovely country has to offer

That sounds wonderful. Despite having spent a lot of time in North Wales I’ve never been to Anglesey apart from passing through on the way to and from Holyhead. It’s on our list of holiday places to visit in the next few years though.
